Hispano Suiza J12 (1935 -1938)

At the 1931 Paris Motorshow Hispano Suiza
showed all new car with a big V12 engine,
the J12. The engine was big in displacement only because
the designers managed to built a compact engine using
the know-how gathered building airplane engines. The
overhead valvetrain was very advanced for its time with
revolutionary features like natrium cooled exhaust
valves.
The Barcelona based company was responsible for the
building the chassis and drivetrain, seperate
coachbuilders were responsible for the bodies. This
resulted in many different looking J12s
