thoroughbred cars of Germany

If Britain considered itself the foremost
industrial nation prior to World War Two, other nations, and in particular
Germany, had every intention that the situation would not last. Germany has
for so long been at the forefront of innovation and engineering excellence,
it is hardly surprising that some superb cars have originated there. I have
some doubt that the US would have ever gone to the moon if it had not been
for German expertise. Prior to World War Two, severe restrictions were placed
on the German aviation industry. As a consequence, for a period of time,
engines were developed for racing cars which subsequently swept the board.
