Delage D8
with thanks to
Delage World

The D8 marked the top end of the Delage
cars, built with little regards for expense. Individual coachwork was
applied to the D8 from famous names such as Chappron, Figoni et Falaschi
and Letourner. Due to the short length of the chassis, only 2 seaters
could be supplied.

This particular example,
chassis 40168, has a unique body crafted by Henri Chapron. The original
design was slightly altered after delivery by the owners request. This
resulted in a reshaped grill , extra chrome, and restyled headlight guards
with matching bumper. Slightly reminiscent of the Cord, it is probably the
ultimate Delage.
